arima is the North East Zonal Coordinator of Nigerian Shippers Council, a
federal government parastatal, covering Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno,
Gombe,Taraba,Yobe States of Nigeria. She studied Public Administration, at
Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria and did her postgraduate studies in
International Relations and Diplomacy at the Centre D’edutesDiplmatiquesetStrategiques,
France.
Karima worked for the National Drug law Enforcement Agency in Nigeria, before joining the
Shippers Council. She has background knowledge in Drug investigation and Interdiction.
Karima works for gender equality, empowering women and putting stop to violence against
women. She advocates the development of the abundant locally available agricultural and
mineral resources for securing livelihood of people in our rural communities and women in
particular. Her interests lie primarily in development assistance for uplifting the human
standard of living, drinking water for all, education and health care, to name a few. She would
be happy to discuss issues dealing with the economy, democracy, equality, education health
and globalization in relation to poverty alleviation and women empowerment.
